Phlip
Phlip
(pronounced flip)
is a simple combination of pentomino placement and the piece flipping
mechanic from Reversi and Othello. Variations on this theme
were published under several names in the 1980's, including Domain Boomerang
and Chameleon.
Obviously, the number of and type of polyominos and the exact rules for
flipping have many variations.
Rules:
Players take turns placing a piece anywhere on the board. All
adjacent pieces of the opposite color are flipped to match the newly
placed piece.
Winner:
is the player with the most squares his color when no more pieces can
be placed.
Robots:
Hard to beat.
