I found an easy way to let luck define who will play with white or black in the first game of a tournament match:

Both players enter an unranked room of game Warp6 and compare their dice - the player with the die of highest value (no matter if it's a d8, a d6 or a d4) can choose if he will play with black or white.

If both players have an equal value die as highest, they look for the 2nd highest and so on. In the rare case of all dice having equal values, exit the room and restart the process.
