Triad is a truly unusual abstract, designed by Cameron Browne (who also designed Truchet and Palago). Triad is a game for three players, intended to be balanced and avoid the "king maker" problem in multiplayer games.


Triad is a capturing game, with the objective of removing all of some player's pieces. The tricky bit is that the second place player is motivated to keep the third place player in the game.
