I've received several complaints about the "draw by repetition" rule as applied to knockabout. The general problem is that a knock knock-back loop can repeat several times with the same rolls and end the game, where it would eventually have rolled differently and won.
Although no one has complained, the opposite can also occur - where a knock-knock loop can never resolve, but due to random rolls it can take a very long time for the same position to occur 3 times.
I don't have an immediate solution to this - especially for robot games. In the meantime, if you see the "two repetitions" warning, consider making a different move to break up the repetition. |
