It's really in progress. Here is a sample of the kick-ass board graphics I'm working on:

Any chance of a blitz version - first line of 5 wins?

Actually, the robot for Yinsh is the simplest of the robots. The quality of
it's play is more a reflection of the intrinsic characteristics of the game,
which are particularly favorable for computer players.

It seems to me that "smartbot" does not look ahead more than one (or two?) moves concerning defense, though. Isn't it beaten easily by wall crawling? I don't really play wall crawl, but against my chameleon, the AI is clearly not defending well enough.

You are correct. Generally speaking, the goal for the robots
is to be good enough to teach the game, and to be a plausible
opponent for beginners. As soon as that goal is reached I move
on to the next project.

Depending on the game, getting to "good enough" might be hard,
or in some cases I have to deliberately make them dumber.
